Pottery Bank Estate Improvement
The first phase of a package of physical improvements is due to start this summer, that will ultimately see the exterior of properties, boundary treatments, landscaping and highways all improved across the entire estate.
Alongside this, a package of activities will take place trying to improve the outcomes of Pottery Bank residents with regards to employment, training, health and wellbeing.
This work is currently in development.
Enslin Street Improvements
Work will start this year on an External Property and Environmental Improvements Scheme around Belmont Street, Enslin Street and Enslin Gardens.
The aim of the project is to improve the neighbourhood and better link the “corridor” to the proposed surrounding regeneration initiatives as part of the overall regeneration of Walker Riverside and particularly to the adjacent Heart of Walker. This will include improvements to property and the layout of the back lanes.
These elements of work have been developed in consultation with the local community, particularly with the Enslin Corridor Focus Group and also with Groundwork and the property owners.
