The Project
Walker Riverside is the name of the £450 million regeneration project. Much more than just another house building project, although over 1600 new homes are planned, it looks to improve the Walker Riverside area, creating a great place for people to live and work. Money will also be invested into local facilities and a new Heart of Walker will be created featuring shops, a school and improved transport links and community facilities at the centre of the community.
The project is all about affordable housing, safety, transport, employment and education and training. The Walker Riverside Project Team are interested in anything that makes a positive contribution to people’s lives and we recognise that families and the ‘community’ lie at the heart of this project, as well as attracting new families and emplyers to the area.
