There are a variety of good nurseries and and five primary schools in the Walker Riverside area with plans to build a new 420 place two-form entry primary school in the Heart of Walker. Walker Technology College, to the north of the Walker Riverside area is undergoing a £13M investment programme in new and improved buildings over the next year, with work due to be completed by 2009.
